Sounds like a BMW GS without the engine Laughing
Glad to hear you are making progress and looking forward to two wheels, even if it does not have an engine..............

I went to cut the grass Saturday, and I forgot to get gas, I didn't feel like running for it, so I looked on the shelf, and there was a gallon of Trials bike gas sitting there, I dumped that in the tank and off I went, everytime the motor got bogged down in the high grass, it smelled just like the Sherco. Laughing

I resorted to that last winter with my snowblower! Glad to hear that you're on the mend, and progressing so well.

I went with the first bike I had originally wanted, a Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 29er. A mountain bike with disc brakes, and 29" wheels!

I picked it up today $610.00, thats a lot of bike for that price! Thumbs Up
Took if for a spin on our dike system, the bike peddled effertlessly, I was zooming right along, went 2 1/2 miles one way, turned around and found that now I had a strong head wind, no wonder it was so easy to peddle! Laughing
I ended up doing 5 miles of good pace riding and felt great, my knee felt really loose after I got off the bike, absolutely no stiffness.

I tried my first rails to trils today aka back mountain rail trail, nice packed surface, even though it was uphill grade, a little over a mile in I ran into this, the bridge was out!

Rode back to the truck and did plan B, rode the dike system again, this time I went to and through Kirby park and back.
Total for the day 10 miles Rock On

That's awesome Chuck! Thumbs Up

Maybe in the spring you'll be up for some light trail riding on one of the motorized steeds.

It felt great getting out of the house and riding a bike, I'm glad I made the decision to buy a new one. Thumbs Up
It felt better peddling the bike than walking.

Not sure if it will be this Summer, or the year after that! It's going to take 12-16 Months for everything to heal.

Today I reached my goal of 25 minutes on the stationary bike. Rock On

I remember around 4 weeks ago I couldn't get my knee to bend far enough to do one revolution. I started off slow 5 minutes, then added 1 minute per workout day. Thumbs Up

I finnaly got around to getting a DVD burned at the Hospital of my X-Rays.

Here's before the Surgery, you can see the whole outside of the knee joint is snapped off, and the tibea is not where it should be!

After the Surgery, knee joint reatatched and Tibea put back in place via a metal plate, and screws.

Good thing I'm not a Horse, they would have shot me! Laughing

It's weird that it broke like that on the back side of the knee and not in front. When someone says they injured their knee, I think of the kneecap and surrounding frontal area. Happy to hear it's improving. Very Happy
